F.A.Q.

Here you can find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

If you still have questions, please contact us.

Where do I begin?

Complete the work order form under the "Order Now!" tab above. If you'd like to browse textures or options, check out the gallery!

What is the turn around time?

Our turnaround time varies. You will be assigned a scheduled date for your framework and we just ask that your frame be here one day prior to your scheduled date. Once your booking fee has been paid we will send you an email notifying you of your scheduled date. Your work is typically completed on the date you are assigned and is shipped the following business day. If your frame is being Cerakoted, that will add additional time to your order.

How do I reserve my spot?

Start by completing the order form. We will then send a quote for the framework and confirm your scheduled date. We charge a $75 non-refundable booking fee. This will be applied towards the total cost of your framework. Once you ship your frame and we receive it, you will receive the invoice for the remaining balance. The balance must be paid in full before we ship the frame back to you.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount for Military (active or honorably discharged) and First Responders on grip work only.

Will you fix a frame that has been operated on previously?

It depends. We ask that you send us a few quality images of your frame so we can take a closer look. You can send the pictures to getta_grip@5bgunworx.com

How do I ship my frame?

Because this is considered gunsmithing, you can ship to us directly from UPS or FedEx following their guidelines. You will need to remove the upper and package the complete lower including trigger and internals in the frame (unless you are having the slide Cerakoted). If the frame is shipped from the customer's home address, we will ship it back to that same home address.

If you prefer to have an FFL ship the frame to us, please let us know in advance as they will need a copy of our license and we'll need a copy of their license. If an FFL ships us the frame, we are required to ship the frame back to the FFL upon completion of framework.

Note: Your frame cannot be shipped to your place of work.

Who is responsible for return shipping?

We will cover the cost of return shipping.

Is your booking fee really non-refundable?

Yes. The booking fee helps cover the cost of office hours spent emailing and scheduling your frame.

How do you accept payment?

After submitting your work order form, you will receive an email with a quote for your framework. We will later email you an invoice which can be paid online via bank or credit card.

Do I need to remove the internals out of my frame before I ship?

No, you do not need to remove the internals from the frame before you ship. Simply remove the upper and ship the complete lower to us.

What color Cerakote do you offer?

We offer all colors of Cerakote. Check out Cerakote.com to browse their options.
